Australia is unique in that it's the only country that is also a continent. In comparison, it's the sixth largest country and smallest continent on earth. It is located about 2,000 miles Southeast of mainland Asia and is considered to be entirely in the Southern Hemisphere. Australia consists of six states and two territories. The states are New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, and Western Australia. The two territories are the Australian Capital Territory and the Northern Territory. Some of the well known and largets cities in Australia are Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. Australia is completly surrounded by water and deserts cover about a third of Australia.

Some of the things to see while visiting are the Great Barrier Reef, Kangaroos, Koalas, Wallabies.
