Southeastern Asian country, bordering the Andaman Sea and the Bay of Bengal, between Bangladesh, India, China and Thailand.
In 1989 the country changed many well established English names so as to be in accordance with the Burmese pronounciation. Burma is now known as Myanmar around the world.
